Stephanie
Lynn Arther Dyer, 66, was called home to the Lord on February 8, 2021
at 7:13pm. Born in Dallas, Texas on June 14, 1954, Stephanie lived in
many places in the south throughout her childhood. She met her husband,
David Dyer in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1976 while working at a bank.
Their immediate attraction led to a whirlwind romance, and they married
in Lake Charles, Louisiana on February 11, 1977. From there, she began
to fulfill her life-long dream of working as a homemaker and a mother.
She faithfully
raised two children, Adam and Lindsay, while caring for her husband and
home in Lafayette, Louisiana. She devoted her time and energy to many
aspects of family and spiritual life, including teaching Sunday School
for the children of her community and participating in Bible Study Fellowship.
She instilled her Christian convictions and hard work ethic to her children.
The family resided in Lafayette for 28 years, until the tragic death of
their son, Adam.
In 2007,
Stephanie and David moved to Houston, TX where she continued her work
as a homemaker. She became a grandmother in 2011 and again in 2014. She
devoted her time and energy to loving her granddaughters. She also enjoyed
Bible Study Fellowship, walking, shopping, jewelry, and taking care of
and spending time with her family.
Stephanie
passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long illness. She
is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, David, her daughter, Lindsay,
her son-in-law, Bo, and her two granddaughters, Cora (9) and Carolyn (6).
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Edward Arther, and her
son, Adam. Stephanie will be remembered for her faith, wisdom, and humor
by all who knew her. |
